I take back what I said about Castlevania being easy. You still gotta take it seriously.

IRC meetup is today (sunday) and/or tomorrow (monday) at 5pm Pacific/7pm Central. Come to whichever you want. I think 7pm Central is a good time for me, except for Tues to Thursday, when I work in the evening.

Some Rhodes piano action was going on. It was the Wizardry Lab music.

“In the lab!”

“Right.” And we laughed. Lab music is always like that. Futurey jazzy elevator music. This isn’t a music rant though. I was playing the DQ8 demo, he was commandeering my Castlevania. We would play many more games tonight, though much less multiplayer than we used to. Things are getting a lot more single-player oriented, it seems. The evening included Trace Memory, Advance Wars, Trauma Center, and Super Mario Land (i had to show off my newly-awesomed Game Boy). But mostly Castlevania.

He said “I read a review and it said that if you’re not playing CV, you’re stupid.” I had to retort by telling him that I had to play some more Lunar before I got into it.

And just because everyone hates Lunar, it dosen’t mean I can’t enjoy it, even if I should be playing Castlevania.

But, in all honesty, he did beat Balore before me. I’d been trying to, but not completely, because I was waiting to play it. Then, when I really tried to, I kept dying. Once, I was just like: Okay, I’m going to beat him like this! I whipped out the Manticore soul and beat Balore and his stupid big fist of death to death. I haven’t looked back.

Now it’s on.
